Lenny Henry live

Lenny's christmas special was not one of his best. His humour is sometimes a little longwinded by today's standards. I liked a couple of his sketches however, and loved another... Lenny auditions for a musical. "Next" say the producers. "Why" says Lenny? "because we are looking for a small red haired girl". "Oh, I get it, its because I is black". Now this seems to ring a little of AliG, and lenny couldn't let it lie at that, but had to labour the joke with a follow on of him actually performing complete with red hair and dress (for Annie is the show). Ever need a laff at work? Well, who doesn't - except perhaps Lenny Henry. His job IS laughter. What a marriage that must be - Lenny Henry and Dawn French. Wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall in that household? Maybe the way they take a break from their work is "grump night"... ANYWAY.
