Newest Review: ... a brilliant point, but to extend the joke was wasting everybody's time. About time we heard comment about the ridiculusness (sp?) of political correctess, and how good that it should come from someone who transcends racial divides. One mans PC is another mans racism. Take a few examples. MOBO - Music of black origin? hey MOWO - that would get folk up in arms. Blacklines - an antiaids charity for africans. Why blacklines? Lenny's christmas special was not one of his best. His humour is sometimes a little longwinded by today's standards. I liked a couple of his sketches however, and loved another... Lenny auditions for a musical. "Next" say the producers. "Why" says Lenny? "because we are looking for a small red haired girl". "Oh, I get it, its because I is black". Now this seems to ring a little of AliG, and lenny couldn't let it lie at that, but had to labour the joke with a follow on of him actually performing complete with red hair and dress (for Annie is the show). Ever need a laff at work? Well, who doesn't - except perhaps Lenny Henry. His job IS laughter. What a marriage that must be - Lenny Henry and Dawn French. Wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall in that household? Maybe the way they take a break from their work is "grump night"... ANYWAY. Lenny Henry has to be one of the most scintillating comedians I've ever had the pleasure to listen to.
