Lipstick JungleNewest Review: ... Sex and the City, I just didn't get in to it. I have watched this first season of Lipstick Jungle, it is no Gossip Girl or Desperate Housewives but it is watchable and I have now moved on to the second series, so it can't be that bad. There is some definite eye candy in this, and the storylines are too over the top, I can see how what these women face, could well be what other married, ... more |

Lipstick Jungle is a TV show that has come from the book written by the same author as Sex in the City, Candace Bushnell. I think after the success of Sex and the City it was going to be hard to make this in to a similar show with enough differences to make it stand out. The series is based on three main characters; it follows their lives, love life, children and careers. Does it sound completely different? The only real difference between this and Sex in the City, is there is only three characters and 2 marriages. Lipstick Jungle is a TV series based on a book written by the one and only Candace Bushnell who was also the person responsible for Sex and The City (amongst other books and programmes) who was also one of the executive producers on the show. My fiancé says this is very obviously from somebody who was involved in Sex and The City just from seeing the advertisements for the programme and I do agree with him. I would say that although it does have a similar feel to Sex and The City, ... Read the complete review

"It's a jungle out there, dress accordingly" Lipstick Jungle is being hailed as the new Sex and the City, it's the latest show from SATC writer; Candace Bushnell. The show is part of 'New York Mondays' on LivingTV and is on after Americas Next Top Model. Lipstick Jungle follows three career-minded women living in the Big Apple; these friends see each other through all the tears and joy which making it big in the city bring! Loaded with as much fashion as SATC and surprisingly much more sex, it's a sure-fire hit with anyone who enjoyed the series i.e. women...and I'm guessing you Dooyoo men are groaning reading this! :) ...
