Advantages: Funny at first

I do wonder sometimes if I'm the only person who does not actually find this show amusing despite the fact that it has won a whole load of comedy awards for the two stars Matt Lucas and David Wallams.

For those who do not know much about the show it is a thirty minute comedy sketch show shown on BBC and also a number of cable channels as well in a round f endless repeats.

Each week it pretty much follows the same format with a whole range of different comic creations in different sketches however after watching it a few times the sketches all become very similar. For example there best known creation is Lou and Andy, two men one of whome is in a wheelchair and the other is his carer, the joke is that the bloke in the wheelchair can walk so each sketch has him standing up at some point ad repeating the same old catch phrase, it was funny at first but it soon gets tiring.

Other caracters include Dyffed the only gay in the village who might dress and act very camp but in reality is just wanting to be different, two awful transvestites with beards, a gay personal assistant to the PM and a woman who is obsessed with Molly Sugden.

Some of the humour can be quite gross and there is a certain amount of sexual humour involved as well.

In my opinion it is one of those comedy programmes which showed promise in the first series but was getting tired by the time the second one came around.

Summary: Not as good as all the hype.
