Little Einsteins is a cartoon show on the Playhouse Disney channel. It is aimed at pre-school age children and is just fantastic. It is so educational that it's not just my son learning when we watch together! The action centres around four children - Leo, his little sister Annie and their friends Quincy and June. They have a rocket (Pat Pat rocket!) that they travel in to have adventures and help all sorts of creatures and objects that have problems. Each episode has a piece of art and a piece of music that they incorporate during the story. This is introduced in a very nice way, with the artist and composer being named and the child encouraged to ... Read the complete review

My dad is a music teacher, and the other day he was talking to my son William (his grandson) about music. All of a sudden Will pipes up with 'That's staccato Grandpa!' at which my dad almost fell over in astonishment, demanding to know how his grandson was a musical genius at the age of 5. The answer was of course Little Einsteins. This lovable little programme airs on the Playhouse Disney channel, which is 611 on Sky, and features 4 children who are friends with vivid imaginations, who go on musical missions each episode. The episodes last for around 20 minutes each, and will feature the four children as the zoom off in their Red Rocket, which converts into ... Read the complete review

The first thing I want to say is unrelated to Little Einsteins, but: I hate the Teletubbies with a passion. I am the first of four children and have a vivid memory of my youngest sister, having watched it far too many times, walking around saying 'eh oh', 'agenagen' and 'Tubbytustard'. When I had my son, I vowed that he would never watch kids programs that would encourage him to speak gibberish. I'm a single mum and my little boy is extremely energetic. He doesn't seem to ever sleep and always wants to play, so to keep the house in some sort of order I let him watch TV for around half an hour a day while I rush through the housework and prepare the dinner. ... This programme drives me insane, I can't stand the way they're constantly singing and playing music but my two year old son adores it so it is always on my television. I can't stand to watch it but my little boy will scream if I turn it off. Little Einsteins is on playhouse disney and I only first saw it about two months ago but I'm not sure how new it is. The children play songs and music and also count. It is a brilliant educational show for children and my little boy has picked up lots of little things from it like saying thanks and singing. When the songs come on now, he often knows them and will dance and try to sing along although the ... Read the complete review

I'm a big fan of Little Einsteins. Well, I'm a big fan of my daughter watching it! It keeps her occupied for the duration and does appear to actually teach her something in the meantime, therefore easing my guilt about putting her in front of the television in the first place. It focuses on four children (whose names escape me at this very moment im afraid.) and centres heavily around music. Usually very classical and at the beginning of each episode they tell you who composed all the pieces you will hear in the show. They get the children involved by taking off in their "favourite rocker ship" and the children are encouraged to pat their knees to help the ship ... Read the complete review
