My daughter is still a little young to get into these series at the moment, but the theme tune appeals to her. The series main protagonist, the titular Little Princess (no other name is given) is voiced by Jane Horrocks - known for her work on "Absolutely Fabulous" and "Little Voice", but also the same person who voices the hugely successful Fifi from "Fifi and the Flowertots". I would say that 3-6 year olds would probably get the most out of "Little Princess" in terms of style and moral content. However, over 21s appear to miss the moral message altogether! Little Princess is shown most mornings on Milkshake which is part of Channel 5 and is fast becoming my daughters' favourite television programme. This series of cartoon programmes are based on the brilliant 'Little Princess' books written and illustrated by Tony Ross. The central character is the Little Princess herself although she is not a conventional beautiful princess at all - with her straggling hair, boggly eyes and gappy teeth. She is also an incredible tomboy and the white dress she wears is often very mucky by the end of any episode. Having said that though she does have a certain charm about her.
