Live Talk started out as Loose Women, and when it finished I thought that was it. Nope, it came back better and brighter than before. I love this programme, but just how much depends on the panel of the day. It consists of all women,(some of the presenters change on a daily basis), although they do have male guests as well as female. ITV have certaainly got a winning combination in the form of Live Talk. It is screened on ITV at 2pm Monday to Friday (after dinner times crossroads). Kaye Adams and Nadia Sawahala (ex- EastEnders fame) are the main daily hostesses. In addition they have two ‘guest hosts’. And often have other guest too. The programme does have one big draw back though, and that is: it’s too short! It runs for half an hour Each day, the four ‘hosts’ sit at the table bench and discuss topics, which have a discussion rating. Being a bored housewife, with plenty of time on my hands (Huh! I wish!), I am probably in the target audience for Live Talk. It is on ITV weekday afternoons after Crossroads. That’s 2pm, for those who don’t watch the new improved soap. Live Talk is a kind of chat show, with phone-ins, special guests and regular discussions about stories in the news. It is basically like the sort of chat and gossip you might get if you put any four women in a room together, which is probably why I like it. It seems quite informal and is always interesting, but a programme you can happily half-watch, while writing opinions, ironing or surfing the net. The ...
