Advantages: brilliant TV chat

Disadvantages: too short a programme

ITV have certaainly got a winning combination in the form of Live Talk. It is screened on ITV at 2pm Monday to Friday (after dinner times crossroads).

Kaye Adams and Nadia Sawahala (ex- EastEnders fame) are the main daily hostesses. In addition they have two ‘guest hosts’. And often have other guest too. The programme does have one big draw back though, and that is: it’s too short! It runs for half an hour

Each day, the four ‘hosts’ sit at the table bench and discuss topics, which have a discussion rating. Such as; Young g irls who dress too old (mini skirts etc); the recent return to alcohol by George Best; Toyah’s attack in CORONATION STREET; the recent revelation that epidurals have long term side effects; and of course much more. The news item about the young lad: who got ‘expelled’ from his home area in Manchester, for constant bad behaviour.

The hosts give their opinions on each subject in a light hearted, often funny, and always honest way. The show is filled with humour as Nadia and Kaye (who are obviously good friends off screen also) dig at each other, and joke. However, when the show requires seriousness they quickly adapt.

The other hosts include, Colleen Nolan (of the Nolan sisters group). Kaye calls her ‘Swollen Colleen Nolan’ as she is currently pregnant. There is also Julie H (Hayley from CORONATION STREET), and plenty of others.

The guest who have been on the show recently included; a young lady who suffered from meningitis and became an amputee; the actor who plays Bob Hope in Emmerdale; Georgia Taylor (Toyah in Coronation Street)

The programme is aimed at mainly at women, but it does have a vast supply of men viewers also, and I try not to miss it! It really is addictive viewing.

The show has recently been nominated for some awards but unfortunately never won any. You can contact the show by phoning or emailing livetalk@g

I like this programme and I agree it should be on for longer than half an hour
