Advantages: Interesting conversations, Funny, but serious when it needs to be

Disadvantages: None

Live Talk started out as Loose Women, and when it finished I thought that was it. Nope, it came back better and brighter than before. I love this programme, but just how much depends on the panel of the day.

It consists of all women,(some of the presenters change on a daily basis), although they do have male guests as well as female. Topics covered can be anything from what's in the news that day to the price of fish! They can be funny or very serious. The two leaders seem to be Kay and Nadia, and they do a brilliant job. Kay has a very sharp wit and is very funny, in my opinion the best presenter on the prgramme. Nadia, who played Annie in Eastenders is a funny, likeable person who gels well with Kay. Other women who have been on the panel include Carol McGibbon (who was once Chris Evans' wife), Jenny Powell, Colleen from The Nolans, again a very funny lady, and Julie Peasgood, actress and voice-over lady.

ITV have a winning formula here, because the conversation is witty and clever with a mix of opinions from each of the women. None are afraid to put forward their points regardless of whether they are in the minority. People are also invited to phone in with their comments on that day's topics.

I suppose this is, in a way, a modern day version of Houseparty which used to be on in the '70's but this is far more punchy and the women would never discuss the best way to make a patchwork quilt!

Let's hope this is a programme that runs for a very long time!
