London's Burning

Newest Review: ... after my bath watching Londons burning at 9pm loving all the characters... Recall, Sally, Hi ho, Rob Sharpe, John, Kate, George, Gregg, Frank, Charlie, Chris, Adam, Sicknote and Billy to name a few. Londons Burning was set at Blackwall Fire station, and there were 14 series in total. I found watching London Burning very realistic as they showed the firefighter going in to burning buildings and tackling blazes. There were some tough story lines for the cast here. Sally being raped and having to proove to the rest of the crew she never encouraged her attacker. Firefighters loosing there lives. Geoffrey's wife leaving him after having h... more

This was by far one of the best tv programmes I use to watch when I was younger and even today I wish they would bring it back. It is currently being shown on sky dmax channel 144 around midnight during the week these are all repeated from years ago and are not expected to be producing any new series. I used to be up on a sunday evening after my bath watching Londons burning at 9pm loving all the characters... This is a programme almost entirely devoted to the personal lives of a group of people who are apparently firefighters. I suppose having endless series about the other emergency services - police, hospitals, er vets it is de rigeur to have one set in a fire station. Unfortunately (and I suppose thankfully) there are only a limited number of ways the writers can use this background. Hence the fact that the personal lives of the characters swamp the occasional work they have with a hose or the jaws of life. The brigade commander still looks as if he's likely to ask them all whether they want to swap their house insurance to Direct Line. He is presently ...  Read the complete review

LONDONS BURNING!!! A very realistic drama based on the fire fighters in Londons Blackwall area. This has been on our screens for some time now and I love it. The story lines are good and the action is packed into most of the shows. There is a story line to it as well which sometimes takes over the show rather than fighting fires. When the show first blasted onto our screens it was fast and fiery!! But as the show was shown on Sunday evenings each week and everyone got used to the characters the fires became less and more towards the last ten minutes of the program, which is on for an hour. Every now and then there would be a fantastic build up ...  Read the complete review

What has happened to Londons Burning ? I dont know gave up watching it last series because it was as dull as dishwater. There were never any fires - only at the beginning and end of the series, there was no real action. To be honest once gorgeous Nick left what was the point anyway? It has simply turned into a soap opera full of miserable uninteresting people. Also the guy playing Pit Bull use to really annoy me - by the way did you know that the chap in real life writes the scripts for Eastenders - is there a connection with doom and gloom?? I dont even bother to see what is going on anymore for all I know Pearce has married his dog!! ...  Read the complete review

I watch the first series of this as it was very good but soon began to loose interest when the series became more like a soap and forgot about fighting the fires. The most recent series was completely boring and a waste of time been transmitted lets hope it got the chop. The acting was terrible and nothing seemed to happen. As my girlfriend watched it I would usually nod off and have a nice sleep till it finished. I can’t recommend this series to anyone except anyone who had a problem sleeping. ...  Read the complete review
