Advantages: Great show, lots of different topics, variety of hosts.

Disadvantages: Can get a little too smutty at times.

Loose Women is a talk show which began in 1999 and has aired on & off since on ITV1. The programme now runs all year round and has a break at Christmas and a short break at the end of August as their 'end of season' break.

The show is hosted by Jackie Brambles (leaving in Summer 2009) & Andrea McLean and their regular guest hosts are Sherrie Hewson, Carol McGiffin
Coleen Nolan, Jane McDonald, Denise Welch, Lynda Bellingham & Rachel Agnew but Denish Welch regularly takes time off to film Waterloo Road for the BBC.

The show is on from 12:30pm - 1:30pm Monday-Friday on ITV1 and each day four of the women host the show which is filmed live on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday and recorded the night before on Wednesday & Friday.

There are many subjects discussed on the show including daily news, politics, sport, celebrity gossip, current affairs etc and this is all discussed in front of a studio audience who clap & cheer along with comments but don't actually have any other involvement in the show and the show has a main target audience of women but I know plenty of males who could happily sit down and find something interesting in each show, even if it's just the smutty jokes and comments that are regularly made from Carol McGiffin and her talks about her toyboy who is only in his 20's.

I feel that there is plenty in this show to keep me entertained for the whole hour and I thoroughly enjoy the range of topics that they talk about. There really is something for almost everyone here and I love hearing the ladies views on different subjects.

I think that everyone on the show gels really well together and I love the different guests that they have everyday. Different celebrities each day as well as the ladies of the show who are really celebrities themselves now!

Some of the ladies are very brass and loud and some of them are quieter and more reserved but this just makes for a fantastic show with lots of different opinions flying around.

I would definitely recommend Loose Women if you are at home during the day or off work sick and want something fairly interesting to watch that will provide some light entertainment.

I am rating this show 4/5 and have knocked off one star because I sometimes feel that the conversation is a little too smutty for day time and such a sheer amount of inuendo is just not necessary for an hour 5 days a week!

Summary: All round a great show with lots of interesting and witty guests.
