Loose Women is a programme that is on ITV 1 daily at 12.30 pm, just after this morning and just before the ITN News.

The show consists of four women that sit on a panel and discuss topics that appear in newspaper or events in one of the panels lives either the previous week or the day before and in between there is the odd guest. Basically what the programme is about is four women around the table gossiping.

Originally the programme aired for a series at a time, but the format has changed slightly over the years. As the programme is currently aired continuously all year round with only a few exceptions such as over the Christmas period and it would not appear that the summer break has been removed from the show.

Originally the programme was presented by Kay Adams, but she left the programme in 2007 and new presenters have been installed. Also there have been a large turnover of panellists on the show, as some have lasted for a large period of the shows run, while other have just appeared for a series of the show. The programme is at the moment being presented by Jackie Brambles and Andrea McLean, but Brambles is leaving the programme and is being replace by Kate Thornton.

I did like the show before the show was changed into its current format, as it use to be about proper discussions from a woman's point of view. But what the show has been turned into is a programme with has beens talking about their personal lives.

What has happened with the programme is that to me personally it has become dull, boring and repetitive. As all the programme has come to is four women by way of innuendo talking about their sex lives, and ogling at pictures of topless men (Carol McGriffin). Another point about the programme is that all seems to be promoting themselves on the programme or what they have done in the past (Jackie Brambles "When I lived in America / Los Angeles...).

Overall I do not like the show as it is too women orientated for me, and at parts of the episodes that I have watched I actually felt offended, which is rare for me. For this reason I have stopped watching the programme, but I would say that the programme is not really aimed at me, a man on his early twenties, so this is probably why I dislike it.

Summary: Not one I particulalry like

I've never watched this since CArol McGiffin said (regarding the topic of IVF) 'why should women have a right to be a mother? can't they just borrow a friends baby?'.....I could have slapped her....!
