Advantages: Straight talking discussion on topical issues.

Disadvantages: The women are all usually in their 40's, could do with a younger representation.

I absolutely love loose women! It is my favourite daytime t.v. show and probably one of the only ones I watch. It has been on our screens for 10 years now but I have not watched it this long. I used to work full time up until having my first baby in 2004 since then I have been an avid fan. It's not that I sit down to watch it every day but it is always on the t.v. when my baby is having his dinner.

Loose women is on at 12.30pm on ITV for an hour and is on all year apart from a three week break in the summer and a two week break at christmas. It is a chatshow where four women panelists discuss topical issues, giving there views and opinions. They usually have guests on who also join in on the topics of conversation.

There is one main loose woman, up until last month that was either Jackie Brambles or Andrea McLean but now Jackie has left I think it is Kate Thornton who is replacing her. The main loose woman is then joined by three others, Carol McGiffen, Coleen Nolan, Jane McDonald, Denise Welsh and a few others, different women are on different days.

The show starts with the women taking a look through the stories in that day's news and discussing them. They also have a guest on, usually the latest celebrity who has something to promote. They talk about what they're promoting and then ask for their opinions on what they are discussing. More chat and another guest will follow. Occassionally they may have music at the end.

I think this really differs from any other show on t.v. as the women are really straight talking and outspoken, they often disagree on their opinions and end up bickering. The things they discuss are always relevant to today's society and are the things you would talk about with your friends at home.

A really great show that I am sure people of all ages watch, after 10 years the show just gets better.
