Advantages: a little bit of adult chat for a busy mum.

Disadvantages: some of the celeb panel can grate on you.

I am a busy married full time mum. I spend the day whizzing around trying to get everything done in time for when the kids come home from school. However i have to say at half 12 on a weekday that is my coffee break as i sit down for an hour to watch loose women.
Loose women is a panel show where four celebrity women sit behind a desk discussing and debating both topical and everyday life subjects. The beauty of the show is the presenters ability to steer the conversations from lighthearted chitchat into heavy social and economical issues.
The celebs
The celebrity panel is made up of a regular pool of celebs who feature on the programme. I have to admmit i have my favourites and sometimes find myself groaning at the screen when i find that my less favourite celebs have made the panel that day. My two favourite celebs are jane macdonald who always looks so glamorous and has such a fantastic down to earth sense of humour which i sometimes find hysterically funny. She is not afraid however to fight her corner regarding her view on a particular subject. My other favourite is coleen nolan. She again is so quick wittted and can crack the audience up with just a facial expression. Other celebrity panalists include carol magiffin, jackie brambles, sherry houston and denise welsh. Im glad Jackie brambles has been replaced with kate thornton as the main presenter of the show. As i used to find it totally irritating that every opinion or comment brambles would make would include the statement "when i lived in la" it used to drive me round the bend!!
I have to say i love the fact that most of the panel are working mums who are faced with some of the everyday problems such as tantruming kids that we all face. I find this so appealing as i feel i can connect and empathise with these situations. They are also brutally honest about their lives divulging issues about themselves which makes you realise that they too make mistakes just like the rest of us!!
Everyday they will have two guests on the show. These guests will come on seperatley and sit on the panel for approx 5 mins to join in discussion and also answer any questions that the panel may have. The guests are very wide ranging from all sectors of the entertainment indusry.
In conclusion if you are looking for rocket science or highbrow political debate this programme is not for you. If however you are looking for an hour of lighearted topical and relevant chat then this is your bag!!

Summary: great daytime show.
