Advantages: Best Wednesday night TV in a long time

Disadvantages: None

After boarding a plane in Sydney Australia to LA the passengers of the plane are to find themselves on a deserted Pacific Island after the plane gets torn apart in mid air.

With 48 survivors from the plane crash they realise that they are not alone on what seems like a deserted Island. There are many mysteries that are unfolded each week, like wild giant boars, and some giant creature that only a few have seen but not spoken about that is eating the survivors one by one as they go looking for food and water.

The Island appears to be magical as one man who was once paralysed from the waist down can now go hunting alone in the Island, and another is seeing his dead father walking around.

Each week we follow a survivor as they re-live flashbacks from their lives before the crash.

This is the best programme to appear on out TV's for a while now. It has bought us some new blood America like Kate (Evangeline Lilly)An escaped convict, and Jack (Matthew Fox)a Doctor and appointed leader of the group.

This programme comes on Channel 4 at 10pm each Wednesday and you also get to see it on E4.

Summary: A programme worth staying awake to watch on a Wednesday night.

Wrong category - 'next closest thing' doesn't count!
