Advantages: topical, pushes the boundaries

Disadvantages: not on for long enough!

I had never watched a programme with Louis Theroux until this year and now I am hooked! He is one of the best documentary makers I have ever seen! I love the fact that he is so blunt and to the point in his questionning and he has no problems telling the person he is interviewing that their views and lifestyles are completely bizarre! I found the programme where he went to Thailand to look into Thai brides absolutely fascinating (if not slightly weird) but thats the point of his programmes! He questions society as a whole and also certain sections of society specifically such as those looking for a guru in India and drug culture. His programmes are always interesting and topical and he always pushes the boundaries between what you would expect to be an accepted topic of conversation and what isn't. He comes across as a quiet British documentary maker but dont be fooled! His documentarys are well worth the watch
