If anyone has read any of my other reviews, they will probably notice a pattern!! That is the Paramount Comedy Channel on Cable. It started showing M*A*S*H a little while ago, and at first, as with every other new show, i was sceptical. When i sat down and watched an episode from beginning to end,i dicovered how funny this was. This is set in the Korean War, in 1953. MASH stands for Mobile Aid Surgical Hospital. It is near the front line, and the doctors and surgeons have a constant flow of patients to mend, and send back. Its age has no difference to its comedic value. The partnership of Hawkeye Pearce and Trapper is perfect!! Hot lips Houlihan and Frank Burns are also another good parnership, although they can be irritating at times. Colnel Henry Blake is also amusing as the commanding officer, as he has no idea what hes doing, although he is a great surgeon and his best friend, and helper Radar o' Rielly is always one step ahead of him. They spend their free time, between operations teasing each other, and trying to fill in the time between patients with wierd activities!!! They are also practical jokers, Frank Burns often being ahe target! Trapper and Hawk eye, are the 2 best surgeons. They have a great reputation for this. They are rebellious however, and drink almost any spare moment they have, and gamble, and manage to fit in a lot of nurses!! This is another show that is worth sitting down and watching, and you will be transfixed. Yesterday I just watched the last episode of series 3. I had read somewhere that this was one of the most moving episodes of any tv program in tv history, and I absolutely agree. I was crying virtually the whole episode, then at the end, its even more moving. Fantastic.
