Disadvantages: Stupid And Influencing To Children

Well as far as adverts go this advert is a definate no in my household. Have any of you seen it?

Well there are two Brandt adverts on our screens at the moment one for a Brant Cooker and the other for a Fridge. The cooker is the worst one in my opinion. It starts of with a dinner party and the lady of the house going into the kitchen to get something out of the oven. She then opens the oven door (which is a low level oven). She then jumps on the door detatching it from the rest of the oven and also shatters the glass viewing panel in the process, then she scream she has had enough and can't take it any more, and then storms off.

The Fridge ad isn't much better a bloke gets up in the middle of the night and goes to the fridge for a drink. He then just kicks the door off, when his partner comes down and askes what has happened he just gives the vacant look. The punch line is they want a Brandt.

My argument is that you don't have to distroy things to get what you want do you. I have two children and my son is now opening my oven door and is sitting on it. We all know how T.V influences children I think it is a stupid advert which can be influencing to children who think that everything they see and hear is the way it is.

If the people who make these adverts knew what children do and say when they see them they would perhaps think twice. We all know it happens you only have to take a look at the Tango adverts to see that. The new Bud adverts are the same I hear the kids shouting WHASSSSSSSSSAAAAAAA.

Look out for your Fridges and Cookers/Ovens if your children are the same as most, or you may very well be buying a Brant.
