Married Single Other Reviews

Newest Review: ... If you didn't catch this series on ITV then I would say the DVD would be well worth the investment. I found myself really caring about the characters and being really invested in what was happening to them. The program is centered around these 3 couples and you follow their individual stories as well as enjoying them interacting with each other. 5 of the 6 adults have all known each other since childhood with two being childhood sweethearts with two children, two beginning a break up and one who's very much a happy go lucky bachelor who falls for a girl who doesn't like his lifestyle. At the beginning of the series I found myself laug... more

This was the best short series that I have seen for a long time. A lovely British comedy/drama about 6 adults who, as the title suggests, make up 3 couples. I found the program completely compelling in that it was so well acted and believable unlike many programs that are about! I'm not usually one to watch programmes like this and thought it would be as bad as some of the other "entertainment" on ITV. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out it had the same director and producer from the cult programme Cold Feet. Married Single Other is a series that revolves around the life of 6 individuals in various relationships: one couple, Lillie and Eddie (played by Lucy Davis and Shaun Dooley respectively) have been together for over fifteen years and have yet to get married because Lillie works in a domestic abuse clinic and it has put her off marriage. Eddie works as a paramedic. They have two boys called Harry and Joe ... Read the complete review

Married Single Other is a six part comedy drama that has just finished on ITV1. It is based on the lives of three couples who are all close friends. For anyone who missed it they need to get the DVD or look out for it being repeated. I was skepital at first as a few people I worked with watched the first episode and said it was rubbish. They didn't bother watching the rest of the series but it was brilliant. It reminded me of Cold Feet which I used to love and there has been nothing on TV that compares to that until now. It is funny, exciting and also totally tragic. I found myself laughing, smiling and sobbing floods of tears whilst watching this. It truly is heart ... Read the complete review

Married Single Other is a six part comedy drama that has really gripped me and I am sad that I am watching the last one in the series and I really hope they do a second series. It follows a group of friends who are in effect 3 couples. If you can relate it to anything it would be the successful series of Cold Feet with James Nesbitt. Married - Babs (Amanda Abbington) a child psychiatrist and Dickie (Dean Lennox Kelly) a layabout are married over 10 years but unhappily on Babs side. She does love him but he is useless with money and lazy and she has just had enough. He has too many useless ideas that don't work. So she throws him out and he ends up ... Read the complete review
