Advantages: Great chefs, great judges, riveting tv

Disadvantages: Too short

So who is the nations greatest amateur chef, this is the premise behind Masterchef. With John Torode (A famous Australian chef, based in London), and Gregg Wallace (A sourcer of ingredients to restaurants) assessing each chef this is half hour of television that I enjoy every week.

Shown nightly, this is enthralling television, generally with 6 contestants in the early rounds cooking one dish from specific ingredients, the best 3 are then sent to a professional kitchen to work with a real chef, this generally sorts those who can cook under pressure and really makes the programme interesting, its a cool program, with imaginative chefs, amiable, honest judges and a decent format.

Shown on BBC 2 in a 30 minute format each night the later rounds are generally just 3 contestants working the same format but having more tv time to show their genuine skills.

I really enjoy watching this, its a reality tv show that actually showcases people with a real talent!!

Summary: The tv judging show I enjoy
