One of my favourite programmes on tv is miami ink. It is a reality show, which focuses on the staff, clients and the day to day running of a miami tattoo parlour. The show gives viewers an insight into the work that goes into completing tattoos. I was so impressed and suprised to see how long the process is from discussion with the client, to design of the tattoo to application. What I find intresting regarding this programme, is all clients who are having a tattoo are doing it for a special reason. I find this helps the viewers become more engrossed in the show. I often feel quite emotional when listening to a client who is having a symbolic ... Read the complete review

I only started watching Miami Ink just before christmas and from then I started to get a little hooked on it. Miami Ink for any of you who dont know is a american reality tv series that follows a few tattoo artists showing us an insight of how the tattoo industry works. The owner of the shop and main guy is Ami James, his partner of the shop is Chris Nunez. The other tattoo artists are Chris Garver the guy that taught Ami James everything he knows. The 5ft1 artist Darren Brass, Yoji Haradu the apprentice of the shop and finally Kat Von D. Basically each tattoo artist shows off their special skills and what they are best at with tattoo'ing. Kat Von D shows ... Read the complete review

Miami Ink is an American reality TV show which looks at the day to day running of a tattoo shop in Miami. The show ran for five seasons and led to spin offs LA Ink and London Ink. Reruns of the programme can be watched on sky channel DMAX (or DMAX+1) or the box sets can be found on amazon.co.uk (currently on sale for £13-£14, down from £35.00, so a bargain!) The show looks at a tattoo shop called Love Hate Tattoo(although everyone thinks it is called Miami Ink, but that is just for the show). The shop is owned by tattoo artists Ami James and Chris Nunez, with their friends Darren Brass and Chris Garver working their, alongside Ami's apprentice Yoji Harada. One ... Miami Ink, if you haven't heard about it already, is a TV show about a tattoo parlour in Miami (if you hadn't already guessed!). The series began in July 2005, introducing four eager tattooists, Ami James, Chris Nunez, Chris Garver and Darren Brass, as well as Ami's apprentice, Yoji Harada. Throughout the episodes new tattooists enter and go, the most famous probably being Kat Von D who turned the studio around with her beautiful portrait tattoos. Each show lasts about an hour long, and during that time we see a variety of clients enter the studio to get their tattoos. The guys who run/work in the studio are all fairly young, heavily ...
