Miami Ink, if you haven't heard about it already, is a TV show about a tattoo parlour in Miami (if you hadn't already guessed!). The series began in July 2005, introducing four eager tattooists, Ami James, Chris Nunez, Chris Garver and Darren Brass, as well as Ami's apprentice, Yoji Harada. Throughout the episodes new tattooists enter and go, the most famous probably being Kat Von D who turned the studio around with her beautiful portrait tattoos. This is the TV show centered around the talent of tattoo artists Ami James, Chris Nunez, Chris Garver, Darren Brass and apprentice Yoji Harada. It also featured LA Ink star Kat Von D for a brief period of time. This group of friends opened up a tattoo shop in Miami and in the show we get to see them at their best. I love this show so much!!! not only because I'm contemplating having my first tattoo (if only I wasn't such a wimp!!), but also because I find it extremely interesting and entertaining. Here it is, the reason people come into the studio and ask for 15 different designs all culminated in one single tattoo no bigger than a 10 pence piece, it's Miami Ink. Now in the "industry" this show is often put down and laughed at, and while it's "hollywood" view of tattooing is pittyful and nowhere near how it is, you can't argue with the sentiment and skill in some of the designs. Miami Ink is a reality tv show about a tattoo studio in Miami run by two friends Ami James and Chris Nunez. The show can be seen all the time on digital channel DMAX. Each episode features a number of different tattoo customers and charts their experience at Miami Ink.
