Miami Ink is a fantastic reality tv show based around a tattoo shop in miami, in the first series it shows you how Darren Brass, Yojiro Harada, Ami James. 5 tattoo artists move to South Beach to open up a tattoo shop. Their art work is amazing. They follow a couple of people through the experience of getting a tattoo and the stories range from being really sad - for example about some one who has passed away to being hugely inspitational. The show follows individuals from the start of their journey of wanting to have a tattoo through the process of design and application. It is a real modern 'reality' tv show. It is often very dramatic and the true life stories are heart breaking at times however there is a real range. There is also the drama of the artists lives which also underpins the show.

They are how on series four which is alot of tattoos. You can buy each series in a box set from around thirty three pounds.

It is a good insight in to the world of tattoos and there are spin off shows now - london ink and la ink. It is interesting to see the tattoos and the art work but also to looka at the human stories behind each one.
