Advantages: Great show, red herrings to throw us off scent.

Disadvantages: A little unbelievable that all this happens in one small village!!

I am 19, and last year when summer came around, and I was off college for nearly 3 months, I found I was very bored, I lived right out in the countryside so not much socialization there, and I didn't work, so I tended to be in most of the day preparing work for the next college year and watching daytime TV...and this was one of the shows on ITV during the day!!!

The show is about a little village called Midsomer. The show is normally on at night in two hour programmes, or on ITV at around 3pm in two parts.
The show is about murders which occur in the village. DCI Barnaby and his sidekick Troy are there to try and solve the crimes.

Barnaby is a workaholic, and we often see his poor wife left alone while he is out at work. but he is a lovable character so we won't hold it against him!

Troy isn't quite as clever as Barnaby, and is often one step behind...but sometimes...one step ahead!!

The people who are murdered are normally people with family vendettas, strange friends, or money to be inherited. To be honest, if I lived in Misdomer, I would be moving!! The village is only tiny, yet every week there are 2 or three deaths...I am surprised there is anyone left living there!!!!!!!

Despite this, the show is very good, it has a hint of amusment toi the script, especially between Troy and Barnaby.
There are lots of little red herrings thrown in to knock us off the scent, and so by the end of most of the shows we are trully and honestly shocked to find out the killer is who he/she is!!!

I love the show as every one is different, the case is over by the end of the two hour show, so you can watch one or two and then not watch it for a few weeks and you'll still be ok watching it, unlike programmes like the bill, or trial and retribution!

I love Who done it programmes, i think they're great, I love trying to work out who it was, and why, although I'm normally wrong!!!

If you like programmes like Trial and retriubution, Taggart etc, this is for you. Its not as "serious" as the mentioned programmes, much more light hearted, but still amazingly good :-)
For all ages!!!
