Advantages: Great comedic talent.

Disadvantages: Sometimes the same jokes are repeated.

There isn't much else that can be considered as funny as Mock the Week. It is basically a vehicle for Frankie Boyle, Dara O'Brien, Russell Howard, Andy Parsons, Hugh Dennis and occassionally Ed Byrne to show case material from their stand up routines and just basically make us cry laughing.

It's due to this show that I've been to see almost all of the above on stage, and I wasn't disappointed.

The show consists of several rounds with points seemingly being awarded willy nilly. But it's clear that the objective is to make the audience laugh with a satirical look at the week's news.

It's shown on BBC, usually on Thursdays at 9pm, but is currently on a series break. Repeats can be found almost daily on Dave, however.

If you're a fan of programmes such as 'Have I Got News For You' and '8 Out of 10 Cats' then you'll be bound to like it!

Summary: One of, if not the best, comedy shows around.

Its ok but too scripted for me, the guys and girls fed lines to plug their act.

I'm with you. I watched all the panelists' stand-up DVDs since started watching the show. The only one I really don't like is Andy Parsons. He's like Griff Rhys-Jones - which is not good.
