Advantages: Massivley funny, fresh comedians each week, addresses the news

Disadvantages: Feels too scripted

Mock the Week is a quiz panel show that showcases the finest in British talent on a weekly basis and each week bring in two on and off panelist comedians.

Mock the Week was created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson, the genuises behind Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

The host is Dara Ó Briain, an award winning Irish comedian and is incrediable funny as the host as he is in stand up. The regulars include Andy Parsons, Russel Howard, Hugh Dennis and Frankie Boyle, all histerically funny in each episode as they tackle the weekly news and events explaining them after 5 minutes of taking the mick.

The rounds tend to vary in some epispodes but tend to stick to :

Headliners- Can be answered by any- A picture of a famous person who is in the news is shown along with the inital letters of a newspaper healine about the subject and the panelists must guess the headline after many jokes are made about the picture.

Spinning the news- Four panelists- Jokes or funny stories are made about a topic that is in the news at the moment, the biggest laugh decdes the winner.

If this is the answer, what is the question?- Played by all- A figure, word or phrase is given and panelists must figure out the question, which results in some hilarious questions.

Scenes we'd like to see- Played by all- A phrase is given like 'Things that won't appear in the Queens speech' or 'Scrapped Harry Potter titles' this round has no serious meaning and is just looking for the funniest and most daring statement usually Frankie Boyles (this is my favorite round).

The show is on Thursdays currently on BBC2 though there are re-runs on Dave most nights.

Overall Mock the Week is the best panel show out at the moment and is defienetly worth watching every single episode.

Summary: For comedy fans woh need a weekly fix, Mock the Week is the way to go
