This is the lastest vampire series shown on the Virgin Channel. It is based a mortal women who falls for a vampire private investigator. The vampire is played by Alex O'Loughlin, he is amazingly dark and sexy, he really suits this character. She is the gorgeous mortal Sophia Myles who falls for the darkness surrounding the private investigator. Alex tries very hard to not show Sophia the monster that he is, although he does become violent when needed.

Alex seriously wants to become mortal to be with Sophia. It is a love triangle between Alex, Sophia and Alexs moster vampire self.

Vampire series seem to be the new trend, and i fell in love with this show through the first few efforts although it does become very repetitive. They are in love but cannot be together, he wants to become mortal. I will say i continue to watch this show as i enjoy the classic noir scenes.

Although though i will say this is nothing like the buffy series, it is more dark. I think the best bit is the relationship between Alex and Sophia, they make the serie so believable.
