Mr. Bean Reviews

Instead of either climbing up again or going to another area of the beach he decides to get changed over his normal clothes. He somehow manages to remove his trousers even though he has his swimming trunks on. After he has struggled with them and is ready for his swim he then realises when the guy gets up that he is blind. I found this really good and brings a smile to my face even just writing about it. Like the silent films hardly any words are said. It's just his actions or reactions which cause the laughter. Rowan Atkinson who plays Mr Bean is brilliant because he... more

If you are a fan of the silent films, and especially Charlie Chaplin you will love Mr Bean. Mr Bean started as a live action half hour show on ITV1 in the 1990's and can be seen on ITV3 at the moment on Tuesdays at 8pm and Sundays at 5pm. At first it was a few sketches put together to make up the half hour show. One such sketch was when he wanted to go swimming in the sea. He climbed down the cliff and was about to disrobe when he sees a guy sitting in a deckchair near him. Instead of either climbing up again or going to another area of the beach he decides to get changed over his normal clothes. He somehow manages to remove his trousers even though he has ... Mr. Bean is by far my favourite comedy series. It may be old now but still it brings laughter to audiences across the world. Mr. Bean was set up after the now famous actor Rowan atkinson was talent scouted at one of his performances at his university. Rowan atkinson is known around the world for playing a big role in making facial expressions a big role in comedy and this is what made Mr. Bean so funny. All together their were 18 episodes written about various events in Mr. Beans life from taking exams to church, from a day to the swimming pool to a picnic in the park. The simplicity of the events the program was based around made sense to people and ... Read the complete review

With only 18 episodes ever made Mr. Bean has become a world wide known character, with his distinct facial expressions and limited amount of talking with his deeply low funny voice. Mr. Bean began back in 1990 and lasted for 5 years but a one off special episode for comic relief was aired in 2007 and 2 full length feature films, Mr Bean the ultimate disaster movie (1997) and Mr Beans Holiday (2007) but since then Rowan Atkinson who plays Mr. Bean has confirmed there will be no more episodes or movies to be made. Although an animation series was made in 2002 it never caught on with me as it focused on younger ages so i cannot comment on it too ... Read the complete review

Mr. Bean is without a doubt the show that introduced many audiences that were too young for the nuance of Blackadder to comic genius Rowan Atkinson. It is an incredibly simple show that, in the tradition of Charlie Chaplin, through its lack of dialogue, has a universal appeal across ages and languages, making it something of a triumph even if it isn't edgy or especially outrageous comedy. Mr. Bean is a mysterious middle-aged man who is dressed in the same stuffy attire week in and week out. He is essentially a man-child, who is socially awkward, and although in every episode he'll either try to go to the beach, or go on a date with a woman, it almost always ... Read the complete review

Rowan Atkinson plays the PERFECT part for good old Mr. Bean. His famous face makes the comedy genius even more funny! Mr Bean has got to be one of the most hilarious comedies i have seen in my life! I have 3 of the DVD's (Mr Bean Vol. 1, Mr. Bean Vol. 2 & BEAN (The Ultimate Disaster Movie)). These are all stunners and I laughed out loud at all of them. The whole idea of Mr Bean as a character was genius, the television shows were unique, original, and soooooo funny! I dont know where the world would be without Mr. Bean, he has got to be one of the most legendary comedian in history. The new film, Mr. Bean's Holiday, sees him going on a trip to ...
