Okay so Jersey Shore, the summer home of Americas Guidos and Guidettes. You will have probably heard about this controversial programme. Most people say it is tacky, rubbish even offensive and yes they may be right but I can guarantee Jersey Shore is well worth a watch. The show revolves around 8 twenty-something's who spend their summers in New Jersey who throughout the day GTL ( gym, tan, laundry) and all night get pretty wasted and generally have fun. When I first heard that Jersey Shore was coming to our screens I thought the same as many 'Oh no, not another Laguna Beach/The hills/The city'. However Jersey Shore is much more enjoyable. Jersey shore follows 8 guidos and guidettes - people of Italian american descent who are very into GTL - Gym, tan and laundry - as they share a summer house at Summer heights on the Jersey shore. If you look back over the television programmes that I've reviewed in the past you'll probably spot a couple of common links between them all. Firstly you'll probably notice that the majority of them are American and well there's nothing wrong with that but secondly (and a somewhat more embarrassing link) is that the majority of them belong to the trash genre of programmes.
