Ok, so by now you must think i've gone totally looney from the title right?!

Well partly you'd be right in thinking that!

If you have never watched "My Hero" then you will be thinking i've lost it!
Lets just say, I haven't lost it, it's just something out of the programme!

This has to be one of those programmes you either love or hate. Generally i'm not a great fan of comedy programmes that go *this* far in trying to be silly.
However, having said that, "My Hero" is different! Personally I think the fact that Maybe Ardal O’Hanlan (otherwise known as Dougal in “Father Ted”), who plays the part of "Thermoman" (aka George) in "My Hero".
Thermoman is the modern day equivilant to Superman I guess.

Sounds stupid?

Thats what i'd have said before actually watching the programme!

George, (Thermoman) has a girlfriend, Janet. She's a nurse at the local doctor's surgery.

Whats the programme about?

Well not much really!

Basically what its about is it's about George smelling (no, literally!) a problem with the world (normally in the form of a hurricane in Florida, floods in Egypt! etc.)
He then rushes off to the nearest toilet and transforms himself into Thermoman (see, I told you it was weird!)

Janet seems to take it in her stride!
At the doctor's surgery we have the 1 doctor and the receptionist. The doctor also is a TV star (or so he likes to make out!). He's is on morning telly and is always saying the line "I am aaaalways here"!
Which in itself is funny!

However the best character at the surgery has to be that of Mrs. Raven.
She's the receptionist, however I wouldn't want to have to meet her in a dark alley on my own!
She remains straight-faced throughout every show. She has triplets, of which she seems to hate. S
he basically hates people!

Other characters in the show include Janets mum and dad. They basically are not too impressed with George (seen as they are unaware of him being Thermoman), they just think he's "odd"!

We then have Janet and George's next door neighbour. He's called Tyler.
He is basically mental, he thinks he know's aliens from Jupiter - and visits them regularly of course!
He is the only other person (apart from Janet!) that knows George is Thermoman. However Janet and "George" know their secret is safe with him, because when he says "George is Thermoman ya know" people just nod and agree but think he's even more looney than he makes out!

As you'll be aware by now, this programme IS silly. But it really is funny!, no honestly!

You can't see this programme at the moment (series finished last week), but next series be sure to watch it, at least give it 30 minutes worth! Im sure you'll be back the week later!
