I quite like comedy shows that are a bit different from the norm, and My Name Is Earl has an original base storyline that caught my eye when it first came on TV. It's not a program I avidly watch, but if I notice it's on then I'll happy watch it. My Name Is Earl is an American comedy shown in this country on Channel 4 and E4. Though the times vary, I know the repeats are generally Sundays C4 at 11.45pm. It's 30 minutes, though the actual running time is probably only 20-25 minutes maximum because of the advertisements. My Name is Earl, is a quirky feel good comedy with a deep philosophical message at its core. The programme is about a guy called Earl who wins the lottery and runs out of the shop in celebration and then gets hit by a car and ends up in hospital. He decides it was karma and makes a list of all the things hes done wrong in his life and then attempts to right his wrongs. The show is set in middle American and the characters are hilarious.
