Disadvantages: Far too many spoilt brats keeping this show going

This is an MTV show based on the exploits of spoilt American kids on their 16th birthdays.

The poor parents of these spoilt children are blackmailed with pleads, yelling and temper tantrums galore so that these kids get everything they want and none of reality they need.

The show goes through in the planning stages. We see the extravagant invites, delivered in all sorts of unusual ways with exotic animals or circus people. We then see hoards of desperate teens battling it out over these invites and fawning over these spoilt brats as if worshipping idols. Ridiculous.

And then of course the big event; lots of booze, really dirty dancing and even the occasional poor celebrity that will do anything for money. But of course during the day some of the get some measure of drama of tragedy, the occasional trauma of being puked on, the splitting of trousers, a dress sliding down precariously and revealing a little too much.

This show is something to watch with friends just so you can simply envy the material elements while laughing at the sheer idiocy of the people involved.
