Mystery Science 3000Newest Review: ... Pearl, who with her two idiotic sidekicks Brain Guy and Professor Bobo force Mike to watch the worst sci-fi/fantasy films ever made. Mike is not alone though, he has cynical robots Crow and Tom Servo to help him get through the movies. Most of the programme centres on the film that Mike and the 'bots are watching, whom we can see the outlines of, as if they are sitting in a real cinema. As the film progresses we are entertained by the trio's highly amusing and sarcastic comments, who slag off everything from the film's predictable plot, to the dodgy acting to the corny credits. "Mystery Science Theater 3000" is one of those hidden gems of satellite/cable/digital television. It's usually broadcast Sunday's at noon on the Sci-Fi Channel, but is taking a break from the schedule at the moment. It's concept is quite simple, yet is such a genius idea: take a guy who is kept stranded up in space by an evil woman, and is forced to watch really bad movies with his two robot friends, who rip the film to shreds with their witty and side-splittingly funny comments.
