The National Lottery - what a scam!!! I remember when the lottery first came out and everyone went mad for lottery tickets, buying say £10 worth in one go!! I can admit, that amongst other people I was sucked in by it too(not that I bought any tickets though because I was too young) but my family and relatives certainly did.

To begin with, I thought that the National Lottery was a really good idea as a percentage of the money went to charity. However, I only became disillusioned by it when I discovered that most of the money lined the greedy pockets of managers in Camelot! I also was disappointed when I found out that most of the organisations that the money went to were frankly pathetic.

There are so many people dying in the world from diseases such as cancer and aids but to my utter disbelief I heard that a huge lottery grant went towards this silly village club which arranges "50's nites!!" According to Camelot this was obviously a very worthwhile "charity." I mean, how could these people survive without their social evenings?? How outrageous.

Furthermore, when I found out that they were introducing a Wednesday Lottery I couldn't believe it. They are blatently conning people and stripping them of their money! I know for a fact that many people use the same numbers each week for the lottery and by introducing the lottery on another day means that people are forced to play on those days too. The thought of winning on one of those days and not having bought a ticket is almost too unbearable for people to think about. And I know for a fact that Camelot know this too.....

Which leads me on to one final point. Everyone must have seen the new advert on TV, and do you know what it shows - LOTTERY EXTRA - which happens to be ANOTHER lottery!!
It really angers me the way that Camelot thinks that by putting in these new lotteries, they are benefiting the consumer by giving THEM another chance of winnin
g the jackpot. Instead they are just giving THEMSELVES another chance to line their pockets.

Just remember that you have a 1 in 47 million chance of winning it and every time you buy a ticket you are making one company richer and richer and richer.....
