Advantages: mindless entertainment

Disadvantages: none

I remember the first episode of Neighbours which aired in 1985, ok so I was five, but Im pretty sure it was the first, back in the day there were characters such as max Ramsay, Jim Robinson (now to be seen in Ugly Betty) and Helen Daniels. The storylines where pretty dodgy then let alone the hair cuts. Neighbours has and always been and still is today about a group of neighbours living at the end of a culdesac called ramsay street.

Neighbours is more popular in the U.K and is watched by an average of 3 million people at lunch time. It is repeated in the evenings where around 2.6 million people tune in to watch it.

The cast change frequently keeping the storylines fresh and entertaining and the storylines cover romances, death, deciet and scandal. There are a few old timers who have come back to show which have made me watch it again including Harold Bishop (who just wont die or comes back from the dead!)and Paul Robinson.

Neighbours is now aired on Channel 5 at 5.30pm. An entertaining show for teenagers and adults.

Summary: because other peoples lives are always more innteresting!
