Neighbours has earned quite a reputation for being one of the corniest soaps on television. With LOADS of characters and stories, it keeps many people satisfied.

I have to say that the acting is not great all the time, but it's believable so no real problem there.

The storylines:
Many of the stories which exist in the show are reasonable simple, but still manage to keep a vast amount of viewers watching. It gains quite a lot of female viewers i think, by including soppy love stories involving many marriages. Recently, I feel that Neighbours has improved further with more action, and if any action is available in a soap, it can't be too bad! An example of this is a car exploding. GOSH!

Another thing happening often in Neighbours is death!! Remember Cheryl? Helen? Madge? (hmmm, strangely more women than men!) To clear up something: people complained about Helen's eyes flickering when she was dead. Well, common knowledge tells us that this is a regular occurence when someone dies, or maybe there was wind...in the house. :-S Or maybe just a spot of careless acting??

Music:
How cheesy? I seem to remember quite a few occasions were I burst out with laughter when some pathetic music played, sometimes cheerful music accompanying a sad story, which is strange. Remember when Lou had some problem with his bus? Then came the music, and it was hard not to laugh at his tears.

Also the theme tune. Who has never heard the theme tune? Hardly anyone!! It's been the same for ages but slightly changed from time to time, and obviously cheesier every time.

Neighbours is cheesy, and that my friend, is why.
