Advantages: At the perfect time , Wonderful families!
Disadvantages: Sometimes outrageously unreal
Neighbours has been running for almost 20 years now, and it has never gone downhill like some soaps(Home and Away, Crossroads). The wonderful new characters that pop up every few months and the old classics combine to make an amazing soap. It even has the added bonus of being just in the lunch break of work and school!!!!! One of the newest families, The Scully's, are my personal favourite apart from Harold who is a living legend!! The Scully have only been on Ramsey Street for a few years but already they have had their house burnt down, a mystery brother coming home with no introduction, a spell of bancrupcy, blackmail and even young girl-older man encounters!!!! What a family, what a story. I must also admit that it does help that the Scully's have three beautiful daughters, especially Flic(Holly Vance). I have to admit it, being a red blooded male! You should definitely watch neighbour. Just try it! It last 20 minutes, starting on BBC 1 at 1:45pm. Just do it!!!! The biggest event recently on neighbours was the breakthrough birth of Libby and Drew's new baby. This had been a big shocker because Libby had had an accident and it was thought that if she had a baby, she would die! This was very close to happening after she got trapped in a barn during a rodeo, but luckily the baby was born...and after much drama...Libby finally recovered! There was recently a contraversial breast feeding moment but I am sure that Neighbours fans did not mind watching!!!

- 02/03/02 It's certainly more fun than its Aussie rival (Home & Away) right now. Sorry for the SU, but it's a very short op - more detail would have been nice. |
