Advantages: Very funny

Never Mind the Buzzcocks is a comedy music quiz first broadcast in 1996. The show is broadcast on BBC 2 in a half hour format, from 1996 to 2005 it was hosted by Mark Lemar, with regular team captains Phil Jupitus and Sean Hughes (until 2002) and Bill Bailey (2002-2008). Simon Amstell has hosted the show has hosted the show since 2006 but has said he will not be appearing anymore dure to other commitments.
There are two teams on the show made up of a team captain and two guests on each. The guests are usually somebody from the music business or a comedian or tv personality. The show often uses dry and sarcastic humour and often makes attacks on people in the music industy although this is mostly not serious and presented in as a joke.
The show consists of four rounds. The first usually involves the guests being shown a video, then having to answer a question based on it. For example, they could be shown a video of two artists then asked what they both have in common, or shown a video with an object pixelated and have to guess what that object is. Round two is the intros round where two members of the team have to sing, or replicate the intro of a song and the remaining team member has to guess what the song is. The third round is the identity parade where the guests are shown 5 people and have to guess which one is from a named musical act. This round has also been change so the guest are shown 5 people dressed as musical acts and they have to put them in order with a specific subject eg who has the most money. The fourth round is "Next Lines" where the guests are given a line from a song, to which they have to say the line that follows it.
Overall, Never Mind The Buzzcocks is a very funny and entertaining program which I cannot wait for a new series of. Losing Simon Amstell will be a loss, but hopefully the show finds a suitable replacement.
Summary: I love this show
