Advantages: Hilarious

Disadvantages: Too short!

Originally hosted by Mark Lamarr, Never Mind The Buzzcocks is a quiz on pop music, basically a comedy panel show. There are two teams, made up of two team captains and the host, now Simon Amstell. The teams are made up of 'celebrities', although these are generally the lead of the most recent indie band to hit NME, and the two captains: Bill Bailey and Phill Jupitus. Bill Bailey, however, has recently departed and so we were treated to a guest captain each week, of varying quality!

The rounds include 'complete the lyric', which is always really funny and good to play along to, a round where two of the team have to sing the beginning of a song for the other to guess and a round where they have to pick the has-been out of a line-up. The 'games' are quick paced and absolutely hilarious and I'm often in fits watching it.

Simon Amstell really does take it out of his guests and can come out with some controversial things, but in general he's absolutely hilarious and I find him really rather cute as well! The only thing is, I feel half an hour is too short as some of the rounds are rushed, especially the last one. Perhaps 3/4 of an hour would be a better length...

Summary: Highlight of the TV week
