Unsurprisingly "Nasty Nick" has the most opinions written about him in this category! He certainly has made some kind of impact on everyone of us who watched Big Brother. In my case I cringe every time I see him on telly now. I did cringe whenever he was on Big Brother too though. He is mightily strange, and creepy and after listening to him "SING" on Night Fever my opinon of him has just intensified. Is he for real? Premium Review *UPDATED* If You Live By The Sword ... You Come Up Smelling ... (355 words)

For a few weeks in the Summer of 2000, Nasty Nick was the most hated man in the country ! No, he isn't a murderer or a child abuser, but he did cheat very publicly on a television game show. Nicholas Bateman was probably the poshest house mate in Big Brother, with his appealing shyness and softly spoken intelligence. It was only when the viewing public began to notice his double dealing ways that the fun began. He was being so two-faced, it was unbelievable ! He would tell someone how much he liked them and wanted them to stay, even though he had personally nominated them ! What a scoundrel ! When Craig confronted him about his ...  Read the complete review

Nicholas: 'Trust me' avec Nick 'a***hole' Bateman (563 words)

The cash cow phenominom that was 'Big Brother' ended, in my opinion when the only one with brains was evicted from the house for playing the game properly. The rest were just to dull to provide any entertainment through thier childish antics. Since the show ended we have been bombarded with Big Brother licensed c**p. There was the computer game, and Nicola's song? Does anyone even remember that song? Well it managed to get to 72 in the charts. Now we have Craig's song, which too is complete and utter pap. Now I was whole-heartedly expecting this latest Big Brother spin-off to follow the general trend of c**pness, for the following reasons: ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Eeeking out his 15 minutes of fame (664 words)
by - written on 13/12/00 (Very useful, 27 readings)

Going on Andy Warhol's theory that everyone gets fifteen minutes of fame then Nick Bateman must be in the last few seconds of his own portion. The man who rose to fame as Nasty Nick on Big Brother, set his sights on cheating his way to winning £70,000 but only succeeded in being evicted, is suddenly appearing on all sorts of programmes at all sorts of times. It seems he is no longer the most hated man in Britain, judging by the number of people who are willing to employ him. Shortly after his eviction he brought out a book, "How to be a right *******", which popped up on special display in most bookshops of any merit. Given a flick through ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nicholas: Bring Back Big Brother (147 words)

When i saw the first show of Big Brother, i think i was like alot of other people out there.I thought what a bunch of self centred people, but after a few shows i was glued to the set i would not miss it for anything (i know im sad).Just to see how us human beings treat each other. I think that they should do another series but pick the contestants more carefully.Put a house full of Nicks in now that would be fun, just to see who could outwit who.Im sure Channel 4 would be able to do something in the future. Also perhaps they could work on the Big Brother web site,i was very disappoited in the complete layout. So come on Channel 4 give us a bit of fun in the long winter ...  Read the complete review
