Advantages: Simple, easy to implement.

Disadvantages: Not representative of public opinion

The eviction process on Big Brother is both very simple yet at the same time complex. As the noiminations are voted for by the general public, it means that the person who was nominated the previous week, will repeatedly stay on at the house depending on the fickle fancies of the general public, and what the other nominee has said or done during the week. Caroline is a prime example of this, because the majority of females will want to even the genders of the competitors, the likelihood is that Andrew will be evicted.

I don't want to sound sexist, but the logic is that viewers will want to see a balanced household. Nickolas is another example of how the eviction system is complex. The majority of opinions say that he should be out, because he is two-faced, canniving, etc. But he will not be nominated because the other competitors are not aware of his unfavourable traits, so he will be in the house well into the nine weeks. The system should be changed so that the public can opt to swop one of the nominees for another member of the group, as this would illustrate public opinion more successfully.

I look forward to your replies.
