There has been an argument recently that the influx of history programs on television is damming down history. The Channel 4 program No 57, A History of a House is certainly evidence for this argument. I watch a lot of history documentaries and the general premise of this series interested me and could have made a really good television show. No 57, A History of a House is a documentary documenting the history of one house .in six The house in question is no 57 Kingsdowne Parade in Bristol and is late Georgian being built in 1778 .
