--Background--
There are three series of this programmes. It follows the lives of 4 nurses working in Leeds. It is based inside the hospital watching the nurses relationships with the doctors and patients and also follows their lives outside of the hospital. It deals with stories such as sex, death and relationships. The 4 main characters who live together are:
Lia Costoya - a single mum, whose daughter Emma lives with her Dad in the first 2 series but moves in with her mum in the 3rd. She is a nurse but later she becomes the ward sister at the hospital. She is often described as a great ward sister but a rubbish mum. She has a relationship with the doctor Jamie which blossoms in the 3rd series.
Kate Oakley - the ward sister at the hospital and a complete push over. She will often do as her friends and doctors say but this changes later in the series. She has a few relationships with the doctors and in the third series leaves her fiancee at the alter!
Anji Mittel - a health care assistant at the hospital. She is known for her one night stands. In the first series she has an arranged marriage to Adjesh who leaves her for someone else before they get married. She goes travelling to Australia and returns heavily pregnant. In the 3rd series she finally ends up with Callum, one of the doctors.
Beth Nichols - is a nurse at the hospital and a golddigger. She goes in search of eligable doctors which lots of money. She has a relationship with a senior manager but this ends when he decides to go back to his wife! In series 3 she ends up with a plumber!

--Opinions--
This is my absolute favourite programme, I have all three series on dvd and watch them over and over. It is very funny and the relationships between the characters are brilliant. Watching the relationships between the characters blossom especially Lia and Jamie are fantastic.
The storylines covered in the show are really good, this programe is definetely not for children.
