Numb3rs ... range of challenging crimes in Los Angeles. The two brothers take on the most confounding criminal cases from a very distinctive perspective. Inspired by actual cases, the series depicts how the confluence of police work and mathematics provides unexpected revelations and answers to the most perplexing criminal questions. A dedicated FBI agent, Don Eppes (Rob Morrow), couldn't be more different from his younger brother, Charlie Eppes (David Krumholtz), a brilliant mathematician who, since he was little, yearned to impress his big brother. As a seasoned investigator, Don deals in hard facts and evidence, whereas Charlie, a math professor at a California university, functions in a world of mathematical probability and equations. Now, despite their disparate approaches to life, Don and Charlie are able to combine their areas of expertise and solve some killer cases.

This is a real shame, because this is a gem. First... yeah, there's the maths. As a geek, I'll admit I love that part. While most crime shows close-up on blood, guts and the science behind blood-spatter this one focuses on mathematical theory, and I ...

You're the people out there who struggled with maths all your lives, aren't you? I bet not a one of you would want to watch a maths-based TV series. Of course you wouldn't. And I too wouldn't have thought that I could ever be interested in a drama show which is based on applied mathematics. But I've got to say that this show has totally swept me off my feet, and left me breathless for more. Yes, me - the girl who, to this day, says "What is X? Puh-leese! I really don't give a damn what X ...
