Advantages: Entertaining
Disadvantages: People who prefer slapstick comedy will probably not enjoy it, only on once a week
Ha ha ha - that is the first thing that pops into my mind when I think of this programme!
This programme is on BBC2 at 21:30 or 22:00 (can't really remember) on a Monday evening. Ok, I'll first describe to you the programme itself. As the title states, this comedy is set in an office in Slough. It is set in the form of a documentary with various people in the office being interviewed about their position and role in the company. The whole idea of it I suppose is just to take the mick out of certain stereotypical people who work in an office such as the "teamleaders." You know - the ones who think that they are of such a high position when in reality, the title that they have acquired is only there to make them feel good about themselves!!
There are a few key characters in the programme, the main one being the boss whos always trying to sound like he's one of the "gang." The sad thing about it is that he tries so hard, that he begins to look like a prat as you will begin to realise if you watch the programme. Then there's the secretary and some 20 year old blokes who are always mucking around.
It's hard to portray the humour of this programme by just writing it in an opinion - all I can say is that it is very clever the way in which a few characters in one scene can be so entertaining!
In conclusion, I really would reccommend that you have a look at this programme. It was only by chance that I watched it - if I went by its description I would probably have considered it to be quite boring. So have a look; you might surprise yourself...
