Oh Baby

This a comedy which I happened to stumble across when I was very, very bored on a caravaning trip. The whole programme is based entirely around one woman and her life (sorry can't think of her name)and in this sense is not unlike Ally Mcbeal. The story is told via a video which she stops at times to commentate on what has happened in retrospect adding an original twist to an otherwise unoriginal idea. However a slight sense of originality cannot remove the over whelming sense of "Americanness" about the entire show, its hard to describe exactly what I meab but the entire style of the show screams "we love America". Another attempt at a sitcom by the Americans that is absolute Rubbish. A friend of mine brought this round on video form me to watch alone with a couple of movies. It is about a secretary who has recently had a baby and follows her life at work and home. The canned laughter is awful, which matches the so-called comedy I hope this series has been totally scrapped. This is an american sitcom based upon a secretary who recently has had .....a baby......and it follows her life and trials of work and baby sitting...and that is it...now you don't need to watch it!!!!!!!no seriously...its the most awful sitcom i've seen since the 70's answer of Crossroads.......you see a couple of minutes of painstaking comedy and then the actress stops the 'reel of film, and pretends it was on a video.........what an utter waste of money..it needs to be scrapped ...  Read the complete review

I have watched "Oh Baby" a few times and to be honest I have seen a lot worse. It revolves around Tracy who has a domineering mother (don't they all?) a fantastic best friend (don't they all) and a great job (all together now...). The only thing missing from her life is the man of her dreams, and to make matters worse her biological clock is ticking like Big Ben on a loudspeaker. After a lot of disastrous dates Tracy decides to enter the life of single-parent hood with the help of a trip to the sperm bank, and would you believe it as soon as she is successfully pregnant (first time no less) she meets the man of her dreams.
