On the buses is a ITV sitcom from the 1970's. It centres around the work and home life of a busdriver and his conductor, named Stan and Cyril. It mainly features on Stan though and his mum, sister and brother in law are regular characters as Stan still lives with them. You can tell it is an old show and some of the episodes are black and white but it is still a great show. There is lots of physical comedy and lots of jokes spread throughout. The stories are usually good and well scripted. Life isn't going great for Stan with his sister and her husband constantly arguing, money being tight and the bus inspector trying to get him fired, but despite all this everything is always done with a cheeky grin. A lot of episodes focus on Stan and Blakey trying to get a girlfriend and failing miserably. To conclude, the show is entertaining and funny. I would reccomend it to anyone.
