Advantages: Very funny

Disadvantages: None

On the Buses is a hilarious 70's comedy that brings back memories of the old days (well I wasn't born then but it seems interesting to see the differences), showing the life of a working-class family in London, the program consists of the slick Stan who drives a bus and lives with his mum and generally tries to pull birds but fails because of his mums presence or behaviour attempting to deter him from getting up to anything.

He also lives with his sister Olive, a fat, frumpy completely uncool woman with thick rimmed glasses and Waynetta looks who is married to the sarcastic, lazy and permanently depressed Arthur. Other strong members of the cast are the bus drivers including cheeky chappy Jack Harper and the grumpy Hitler moustached Blakey whose catchprase is "I 'ate you Butler", he was later also known for his part as Smiler in Last of the Summer Wine.

The cast works well together and there is also plenty of slapstick. Undoubtedly one of the best British series ever that leaves modern day crap like My Family in the shade.

Summary: Funny!
