For any fan of teen drama, One Tree Hill is a definite must. Out of all the teen kinda shows going, its my ultimate favourite. Series 6 has just finished in America and series 7 will premier on August 31st. It has also been recently announced that Chad Michael Murry and Hilarie Burton (2 of the main charactes) will be not returning and series 7 will be set 1 year after the end of series 6's final episode. As this is one of my all time favourite shows, im really sad to see 2 of the main characters leave. In my eyes, Chad's character, Lucas is THE main character and most of the show has always been around him. Although i will definitly watch series 7, im wondering if its going to be the same anymore. Without Lucas im not sure what the show will be. Im really glad they arent waiting months and months between series like they used to.

The basic plot is that half brothers Lucas and Nathan dont like each other...at all. They do, however share the love of basketball and the hatred of their father, Dan Scott. As season 1 progresses, its easy to tell that the brothers will eventually become friends, after all, i dont think i could have dealt with 6 series' of them fighting ALL the time. Their friendship is helped by Lucas's best friend Haley James. Haley agrees to tutor Nathan so they he can stay on the team and they end up falling for each other. At the beginning of the show, Nathan's girlfriend is Peyton who later falls for Lucas. Im confusing myself all over again just explaining. Brooke is Peytons best friend who is pretty much the rich, spoiled girl.

Seasons 1-4 explore the high school years while season 5 leaped 4 years into the future for the cast, completly cutting out college. This is a first for any show of its kind to skip a monumental time for the characters but i think it was a great decision. It made the show totally stand out from other shows of its kind and i was kind of getting bored of seeing what happens when people go to college. It always seems to be kind of the same.

The shows covers a lot of teen problems but seems to be a bit darker than the likes of Dawsons Creek. We see Nathan dealing with loan sharks and prescription drugs, Lucas has a heart condition and doesnt want to do anything about it, Brooke thinks she's pregnant, Peyton ends up with a stalker for a fake half brother and Haley is the teen wife and mom. We also learn a lot about love, death and relationships from the show and it covers peoples feelings and how they deal with everything well.

Unlike most teen shows, not everyone in this one is beautiful, although the majority are. It is nice to see normal (ish) looking people in a show for once where everyone isnt stick thin and looks like models. Good on you One Tree Hill.

One Tree Hill has a large involvement with music, due to Peyton's character. Although the OC had some musical appearances by big bands, One Tree Hill totally outdid them. I loved the bands that were used and the show even produced an album (the same from one of the episodes) which raised money for charity.

James Lafferty (Nathan), up until last year held a charity basketball match between the shows cast and celebrities to raise money for charity but had to end this because the fans were getting a little too crazy.

I have a feeling season 7 might be the shows last one, but hopefully not. Lets hope it doesnt go too much downhill without Lucas and Peyton. At least they had a happy ending.

Summary: Love it! Its that simple
