Advantages: Excellent characterisation of more than just the central characters. Wonderful comic moments.

Disadvantages: They can't make any more episodes

When several scenes from the series consistently fill most of the top 10 best comedy moments ever, you know thy must be doing something right. Despite running for many years the series somehow continued to go from strength, never going stale. The best move they made was turning it from 30 minutes to 50 minute episodes as it gave them the chance to really develop storylines and characterisation. Although centring around 3 characters the supporting actors were never bit parts but strong characters. Where would the series have been without Trigger, Boycie and the rest of the Nag's Head crowd? Christmas just isn't Christmas without a new OF&H.
