What is Only Fools And Horses ? Only Fools and Horses is a very famous bristish sitcom which was set between the 1980's and the early 2000 ' s. The comedy is set in north - London , where the main characters council flat was built. Although , at the early start of this great program , the flat was indeed used in London , but later on had to be filmed at a similar buliding due to complaints from the locals. Only Fools And Horses is of two brothers , Del and Rodney. Thy both want to acheive the same goal of becoming millionaires. It one particular episode , they do eventually become milllionaires , which is then lost due to the stock market crashing. They both work for thier own shared company "Trotters Independent Traders". The fly pitching bussiness is not so successfull so Later , Rodney decides to use his GCSE knowledge wisely by taking up a career in Computing, but later gets the sack. In a very special last episode , Rodney discovers from an old photograph that he has a different father to Del.This comes as quite a shock to Rodney and to Del , although Del did know something about it before the shock discovery.

The Characters :

There are many main characters , some more important than others.

Del: Del Boy , short for Derek , is the oldest brother of the two. He is very short, unlike his younger brother Rodney , He has shortish black hair which he follows his fathers side for , he wears a lot of dodgy jackets , including genuine camelhair etc. He cares very much about his younger brother Rodney the most out of his short listed family. Rodney argue's quite often with Del about the bussiness, but deep down they care the world for each other.
Rodney: Rodney is the younger brother of the two. He has two GCSE's , one in Art and the other in maths. He is the brightest brother who always attempts to come up with a good idea to get over their the familys money problems.

Grandad: Grandad who is played by the well - known Leneord Pierce. Grandad lived in the flat with Del and Rodney up until 1986 when Grandad passed away on the show and in real life. Grandad was a miserable old man sometimes , but he also had a great sense of humour , and will be surely missed.

Uncle Albert: The brothers great Uncle came in when Grandads funeral was shown. Albert was Grandads brother , but they didn't talk for years. Albert has been in the second World War and keeps everybody informedof his expieriences , even thought it tires everyone out by listeing to him rattle on. Albert who is played by the former boxer , Buster Merryfield , sadly passed away in the very late 1990's. As the family attend what they think is Alberts funeral , is actualy another man's funeral , which after Del has a go at one of the mourners , he later realises that Albert's funeral is across the road , leaving the audience in hysterics and sadness combined.
Raquel: Raquel is Del's wife in the later series. Also refered to as Del's " Significant Other " in certain episodes. Raquel was first introduced when Del met herself through a local dating agency. She was an actress , but later when Del organised a stripogram for Alberts birthday , Raquel appeared to be a stripper just for some money. Del and Raquel didn't bother with each other until another Jolly Boys Outing when Del noticed Raquel singing on stage at a club he had free tickets for. Later in the series they got married then they had a child.
Damien: Damien is Raquel and Del's son. He is very misbehaved and is into rap music and punk type fashion. When Damien was born Rodney believed that Damien was the Devils son , which then Rodney feared to play with Damien or even be in the same room as Damien always had a thing against Rodney and vice versa.
Casandra: Casandra is Rodneys wife. Rodney met Casandra at Art school in the late 1980's. She is a very nice women and in my opinion , very suitible for Rodneys personality.
Trigger: Trigger is one of Dels best friends. When Del knew Trigger from school many years ago. Trigger is a very oblivious character with no common sense at all. He often gets jokes ten minutes later or doesn't get them at all. He also calls Rodney "Dave" for an unknown reason , witch irritates Rodney a lot. Trigger's dumd ladi back character really adds to the humour of the hilarious sitcom.
Boycie: Boycie is Dels other best friend. He is very rich and snobby towards everyone else. He own's his own second hand car showroom. Boycie is married to Marlene who is not a main character along with pthers such as the cafe owner "Sid" the pub landlord "Mike" Del's friend "Denzil" along with many others.

Why watch Only Fools And Horses? Fools and Horses is a hilarious program which is bound to cheer you up any time of the year. It is very enjoyable with many belly busting moments.
