Only Fools And Horses, now this is my all time favourite comedy. It's known and has won many awards for being the best British Comedy of all time. I first started watching this programme in the late 90's and i still watch the repeats now. Starring main stars Sir David Jason, Nicholas Lyndhurst.

John Sullivan, the writer/producer of this timeless, memorable programme and has the ability to have you laughing in stitches to breaking your heart

This story tells of two brothers Del Boy and Rodney Trotter, who live in a Nelson Mandella House in Peckham. The Trotters don't really have two pennies to rub together and set off to become millionaires. Del Boy is often coming out with the phrase 'This time next year we'll be millionaires' and for a long time, they were still in the same boat. Del is a wheeler dealer market trader and likes to be known as a 'yuppy' he will screw anyone over for a few bob, whilst Rodney is the nicer, honest younger brother. The Trotter brother are two men you end up feeling for and wanting the best for them.

The first episode 'Big Brother' first aired way back in 1981, where you see Del Boy first employ his younger brother as his financial advisor. Rodney likes to play things as honest as he can, but Del Boy insists on buying 25 dodgy brief cases from good friend Trigger. Through the years you see more dodgy deals from the brothers. It's really hard to pin point one classic moment as there are many. One classic moment in Only Fools is 'A Touch Of Glass'. It has be kwown that an he laughter from the studio audience that day was the loudest ever. In the episode you see Del ands Rodders help a woman who has broken down in the street after towing her home they realise she is Lady Ridgemere and the wife of Lord Ridgemere who own the Ridgemere Hall. After over hearin the Lord wanting his Chandeliers cleaning. Del Boy manages to persuade the Lord to let him clean them for £350 after spinning him some story of them being in that buisness for years. Needless to say this doesn't quite go according to plan. Del and Rodney are up the ladder with just a sheet to catch the Chandelier, whilst their dippy old Grandad is above ready to knock out the Chandelier with a hammer. Only it's the wrong one!!!!

Grandad - I simply cant not introduce you all to the lovely Grandad. He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and is a really bad cook, often almost poisening his grandsons bless him. Grandad was secretly as crafty as Del Boy. You seen Grandad trying to win him and the boys a Bungalow by faking an illness, Rodney has just become the chairmen and with his help, due to Grandad 'dodgy legs' Rodney was helping to get the bungalow but little did Rodney know it was all a lie, and whatsmore? Del was in on it all along. Grandad was replaced by Uncle Albert when the actor Lennard Pearce sadly died.
Women came in and out of Del Boy's life and was engaged more times than a switch board. Del and Rodney's mother died was Rodney was just a nipper so Rodders never really had that mother figure, he just wanted Del to settle. And settle he did when Raquel came into his life. Del Boy met Raquel through a dating agency and told him she was an actress, but Del was to find out a whole lot more when he booked a stripper for his Uncle Albert's birthday. After a huge bust up Raquel ended up going away but they re-united in a later series 'The Jolly Boys Outing' which probably is my favourite episode. From there their love blossomed and not long after Del & Raquel had their son Damien.

Rodney on the other hand was never that lucky in love, he once fell for a woman that wasn't only 17 years older than himself when he was 23, but the wife of an ex convict. Who Del Boy ended up taking a beating from to protect his younger brother. Whilst at the Adult Computer Learning Centre, Rodney met the woman of his dreams Casandra and soon after married her.. Cass as she's kown to Rodney, was very career driven which often tore at their marriage. The couple had some peaks and troughs through their life including a miscarriage and a few trial seperations but in the end, they grew up a little and had their baby girl Joan, named after Del & Rodneys mother.

Other characters :

Boycie - we see lots of Boycie in Only Fools, he's a second hand car dealer and is often boosting of his wealth to Del Boy. Boycie is married to Marlene and after years of failed chances, they now have a son called Tyler.
Trigger - Trigger is a legend character who has you in stitches in every episode. A roadsweeper who genuinely believes Rodney is called 'Dave'. Trigger often confuses the hell out of his friends and of us but he's so hilariously funny. In one episode 'The Class Of 62' you see a fantastic Trigger moment when Del's old ex Friend and ex police man Slater turns up at the reunion. None of the friends that turned up at the Nags Head pub knew who it was who invited them. Trigger comes into the room and informs the rest of the gang he was waiting down stairs in the dark for an hour...

Trigger: 'I've been standing in your hall for the last hour'
Boycie: You've been standing in the hall for an hour ?
Trigger: 'yeah'
Mike: 'It's dark in there'
Trigger: 'i know i thought we were all gonna jump out and surprise someone'
Mike 'but theres nobody else in there'
Trigger: 'but i didnt know that did i, the lights were out'
CLASSIC !!!

Uncle Albert - When Grandad died, the Boys Uncle Albert came to stay for a few days. Albert was a Navy man, a war time hero but also a jinx as Del and Rodney refer to him as. Albert ended up living with the Brother's and his well known for telling his tales of the war over and over and over again. His best known line 'During the war' you can guarantee that whatever the situation, Uncle Albert experienced it during the war. Del Boy soon found out he had met his match, Albert was very cunning, sneaky and new how to play the cheating game. When cash was needed Albert decided to make a living out of falling down cellars and claiming. Albert had a very infectious laugh which Del Boy would refer to as 'someone trying to push start a larder'.

Slater - Di Slater is hated by everyone in Peckham, especially Del Boy. When Slater turns up in Peckham at a reunion, Del Boy gets the shock of his life when its revealed hes amrried to his partner, Raquel. After trying to blackmail Del Boy with money, Del's scheming comes into play and it backfires on Slater, making him leave Peckham for good.

Throughout the many series you see lot of other characters such as Mickey Pearce, Mike (local pub owner) cafe owner Sid, Del boy's long-time friend Denzil, Marlene, Damien (Del & Raquel's son)

Only Fools is still repeated, mostly on UK Gold and i recommend people see this programme.

Summary: Two brothers out to make a few bob!

The scene where Del falls through the bar has to be one of the best comedy moments of all time.
